Thomas Shears
February 4, 1935 – November 10, 2019
Mr. Thomas Shears of Whispering Hills, beloved husband of Mrs. Bonnie Shears, passed away at home peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, November 10, 2019, at the age of 84 years.
Thomas will be dearly missed by his wife Bonnie Shears, his children; Donna (William) Gallinger, Tommy (Lisa) Shears, Byron (Daun) Shears and Kim (Bob) Bailey, step-children; Fraser (Debbie) Tilley and Beverley (James) Corbett, grandchildren; Amanda (Murray) Rutherford, Carla (Kevin) Kooistra, Brianna Bailey, Mishayla Bailey, Trina Murrin, Jana Shears, Joshua Shears, Skylar Shears and Bella Shears, step-grandchildren; Brady (Bria) Corbett and Jordan Corbett, great-grandchildren; Maddison, Melissa, Gavin, Matheo, Peyton, Wyatt, Brianna, Novalee, Evan, Atlas, Avana, Sienna, Emersyn, great-great-grandchild Drew and his siblings; Floyd (Olga) Shears, Pauline Payne and Ella (Frank) Penney.
Thomas was predeceased by his first wife Elizabeth Shears, daughter Ella Loretta Shears, parents; James and Dorcas Shears, Brothers; James Shears, John Shears, and Ben Shears and sisters; Joan White and Mary Loveys.
The family would like to make a special thank-you to the Athabasca Healthcare Unit for helping ensure Thomas’ wish of remaining at home throughout his final days was possible. We could not have done it without their care and continued support.
A Funeral Service will be held for Thomas at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 14, 2019, at the All Saints Anglican Church, 9902 Manning Ave, Fort McMurray, Alberta.
