Walter Peter Grygus
April 1, 1936 – September 19, 2020
With heavy hearts the family of Walter Grygus of Edmonton, AB announces his peaceful passing in his sleep on September 19, 2020.
Walter was born in the Village of Milno, near Ternopil, Western Ukraine, and came to Canada in August of 1936.
Walter is survived by his wife of 58 years, Vi; three children: Melanie (Richard), Michael (Peggy), Liana (Joe). He was Dido to: Crystal, William, Lindsey (Mat), Alexander, Amanda, Markis, and Miles. He was great Dido to: Chloe, Kevin, Mallory, Madeyln, Nolan, and Erik; four siblings: Katherine (Mike), Madeliene, Nick (Ruth), and Allan (Margaret); as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents: Michael and Anna; infant sister, Maria; parents in law: Mike and Mary; one brother in law, Mike; one nephew, Michael.
Special thanks to his caregivers, Joanne and Laura; also Maggie, Luisa, Orlow, Jose, and all Zetter staff.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020, at 1:00 p.m.
at St.Isidore Parish/ St. Therese Parish Church, Plamondon, AB with Reverend Jestoni Porras as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Plamondon Cemetery.
