Fred Russell Splane

Our beloved dad (Grandad) will be dearly missed by his wife of 49 years, Doris; children, Darlene (Michael), David (Stephanie), Joanne (Mark), Janelle (John); grandchildren, Isaac (Rachel), Isabelle (Michael), Dean, Mark, Tyson, Lillian, Vanessa, Bethany, Lee, Faith, Isaiah, Felicity and a great-grandchild Juliet.

Fred was blessed to grow up on the family farm near Ellscott, where he continued his passion for farming with his parents and brothers. He was blessed to marry his best friend, Doris, and they were privileged to raise their family on the home quarter. He embraced agricultural advancement.

He loved wholeheartedly; you didn’t need to be family to be part of his life. He blessed his grandchildren and many others with special memories that included his love for the outdoors and farming. He was a lifelong and devoted member of the Boyle Gospel Chapel, where he spent countless years as an elder, youth leader and song leader. His greatest desire was that everyone would personally come to know his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. The memories shared with him will be forever cherished.

A celebration of Life will be held, Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Boyle Community Centre and online at https://cattlevids.ca/2025/splane2025.html

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Boyle Gospel Chapel for youth ministries. A ministry dear to his heart.
