Grant Ronnie Keith passed away on December 15, 2025 at the age of 80.
Grant was born in Athabasca, Alberta, on September 3, 1945, the sixth of seven children of John and Laura Keith. He grew up on the family farm and began his schooling at Rodgers Chapter before attending school in Athabasca. His early years included chores on the farm, time with siblings and friends, and a developing interest in mechanics that would shape his working life.
After finishing high school in Athabasca, Grant moved to Edmonton, where he worked as a pop truck driver travelling throughout Alberta. During this time, he met Teresa (Grace) Kulikowski, the love of his life. They married after a short courtship and began their family life in Edmonton, where they welcomed their children, Darren and Corrie. Their years together were centred on family, work and a vibrant social circle.
Grant established himself as a talented heavy-duty mechanic and later became a well-respected agricultural equipment mechanic after purchasing the family farm east of Athabasca in 1977. Alongside his trade, he operated a mixed cattle and grain farm, which was a central gathering place for relatives and friends. His farm and all it contained remained a great love and primary focus throughout his life.
Grant enjoyed snowmobiling and participated in many poker rallies over the years. Travel was a highlight throughout his life; he visited Europe, the USA and the Caribbean, and explored Canada through road trips across Alberta, British Columbia, the Northwest Territories. He shared those experiences with family and maintained a wide circle of friends.
Grant was predeceased by his parents John and Laura Keith, and by his brothers James, Bill and John.
He is lovingly remembered and survived by his children Darren (Correna) and Corrie (Gordon); his grandchildren Dasan Sydora (Anastasia), Jessica Maskoske (Shaun), and Levi Brlekovich (Cassandra); and his great-granddaughter Gracelynn Brlekovich. He is also lovingly remembered and survived by his sisters MaryAnn Walker (Charlie Cardinal), Carol Underwood and Priscilla Keith, and by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
