Jennifer Marcoux

Apprentice Funeral Director & Embalmer

Jennifer Marcoux born and raised Boyle, Alberta and after a few years away came back to the Athabasca area, where she now calls home.

She started working for the Athabasca Community Chapel at the beginning of 2025 and will complete her second and final year of school in the spring of 2027 to obtain her license for Funeral Directing and Embalming.

In her spare time, she happily devotes herself to her daughter Heidi and son Cash, running after hockey games, ballet recitals, and so much more. She loves animals of any kind, spending time at home, being at the lake, camping, golfing, and hopes to travel more in the future as much as she can.

Jennifer has always prided herself with small town roots and looks forward to serving her community.

About Us

Funeral care built around clarity and trust

Athabasca Community Chapel was locally owned and operated by Dale Kapitaniuk for many years before joining The Caring Group in 2015. Pamela Durdle is our Manager and Funeral Director today, with Dale still here as Assistant Manager and Funeral Director. With our on-site crematorium, completed in fall 2016, your loved one never leaves our care, and there is no need to travel to the city.
