Funeral Director & Embalmer

Kailey Bazelinski was born and raised in Killam, Alberta. She proudly holds her Funeral Director and Embalmer license in both Alberta and Saskatchewan. A graduate of the Funeral Service Diploma program at Mount Royal University, she began her career in funeral service in 2021 and has experience serving families from a variety of cultural and religious backgrounds.

Outside of work, Kailey enjoys making sourdough bread, drawing and spending time at home with her two cats.

Funeral care built around clarity and trust

Athabasca Community Chapel was locally owned and operated by Dale Kapitaniuk for many years before joining The Caring Group in 2015. Pamela Durdle is our Manager and Funeral Director today, with Dale still here as Assistant Manager and Funeral Director. With our on-site crematorium, completed in fall 2016, your loved one never leaves our care, and there is no need to travel to the city.
