Michel Seguin was born and raised in the Ottawa, Ontario region before moving to Alberta in 1995. Proud of his French-Canadian roots, Michel has built a life centered around family, community, and helping others.

Happily married and a proud father of four boys. He works as a mechanic at a local rental company, a career that reflects his practical nature, strong work ethic, and willingness to help wherever he is needed.

Michel has also dedicated 20 years to the Colinton Fire Department, serving his community and supporting his neighbors whenever they need a helping hand. For the past four years, he has also been part of the team at Athabasca Community Chapel part time.

Funeral care built around clarity and trust

Athabasca Community Chapel was locally owned and operated by Dale Kapitaniuk for many years before joining The Caring Group in 2015. Pamela Durdle is our Manager and Funeral Director today, with Dale still here as Assistant Manager and Funeral Director. With our on-site crematorium, completed in fall 2016, your loved one never leaves our care, and there is no need to travel to the city.
